As of Wednesday morning, there were at least three active traffic incidents reported on I-475 alone. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) indicated that all lanes in both directions were closed due to icy patches and accidents on I-16 West near Segoda Road. Since Tuesday evening, from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., the Georgia State Patrol has responded to:

The situation continues to worsen in some areas like Crisp County where Emergency Management Director Billy Hancock noted that driving conditions have become increasingly treacherous with temperatures dropping to 18 degrees Fahrenheit.
