Yakuza Kiwami 3 remakes the predecessor game Yakuza 3 and will include new cast members, updated graphics, new story scenes, and a revision of the combat system and mini-games. Yakuza 3: Dark Ties focuses on the game’s antagonist Yoshitaka Mine. Both games will be available as a single release, allowing players to choose which game to play at startup.
The original Yakuza 3 game launched for the PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2009 and in North America in 2010. A remaster was released on PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2018 and worldwide in 2019, with PC and Xbox One releases debuting in 2021.
