Honor has revealed the design of its upcoming Magic 8 Pro flagship in a selection of images shared exclusively, confirming that the phone will include a dedicated AI button. The Magic 8 series will launch in China next month.

The Magic phones are Honor’s flagships, and the Pro models tend to launch first in China and then later in Europe, where they typically cost upwards of €1,000 (around $1,200). The Magic 8 Pro will include flagship chips, big batteries, and powerful cameras.
The Magic 8 Pro looks much like the Magic 7 Pro, with a flat back. The light blue color resembles one of last year’s hues.
The phone’s side features an extra button in addition to the power button and volume rocker. This is a dedicated AI button, though the specific AI functions are not yet known. Honor is also announcing a new AI feature called Magic Color.
The back of the phone has a round rear camera island with what looks like four camera lenses, likely three plus a ToF (time of flight) sensor. A camera sample shared by Honor’s CMO Guo Rui was taken on a 200-megapixel, 85mm-equivalent, f/2.6 camera.
Honor has confirmed that the Magic 8 phones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Xiaomi has also announced plans to use the new chipset in its Xiaomi 17 series.
Honor is expected to announce two phones at its Chinese launch event on October 15th, along with the MagicPad 3 Pro. A European release is anticipated early next year.
