Mishaal Rahman from Android Authority reports on the upcoming Handoff feature for Android, aiming to enhance cross-device functionality. This feature is being developed as part of Google’s strategy to improve integration between Android and PCs.
The new “Handoff” feature will allow users to sync notifications, share files, and maintain app continuity across devices. This development follows evidence found in Android’s “Cross-device services” settings.
As of now, the feature is still under development and is expected to be part of Android 17. Google has indicated plans to bring Android to PCs, which aligns with the introduction of this feature.
“Handoff lets you start work on one device, then switch to another nearby device and pick up where you left off.”
