At Amazon’s annual hardware event on September 30, 2025, the company announced a range of new Fire TVs, including an Omni QLED model. These models are available for preorder and will ship next month.
New Fire TV Features
The new Fire TVs include what Amazon calls omnisense presence detection. This feature allows the TV to wake up when it detects someone entering the room. Users can interact with Alexa Plus through the TV without needing a remote.
Alexa Plus offers a smarter experience compared to its predecessor. It can provide tailored suggestions and even locate specific scenes in movies based on user queries.
The Omni QLED model is 60 percent brighter than previous versions. It starts at $479.99 for the 50-inch size and is available in sizes up to 75 inches. Amazon claims this model has “nearly double” the local dimming zones compared to earlier models, although this varies by size.
Fire TV Series Options
The Fire TV 4 will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch configurations, starting at $329.99. The Fire TV 2 is the most affordable option, beginning at $159.99 for the 32-inch version, with a 40-inch version also available.
Amazon’s Fire TV operating system powers TVs from various manufacturers. However, the Omni series represents Amazon’s flagship offering, featuring a higher-end design and better specifications.
Last year, Amazon introduced its first Mini LED Fire TV. This model was designed for cinephiles and gamers, featuring up to 1,344 dimming zones and a 144Hz refresh rate, achieving peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits.
