Two Russian YouTubers have posted videos unboxing what seems to be an unannounced iPad Pro with an M5 chip. Rumors suggest that Apple may launch this device as early as October 2025.

Design similarities with M4 model

The M5 iPad Pro does not show major external differences from the M4 iPad Pro released in May 2024. The device remains a large, thin tablet with a relatively unobtrusive bezel and appears to have only one camera on the back.

According to the videos, the M5 iPad Pro is rumored to include a portrait front camera alongside the landscape front camera found on the M4 model. One YouTuber, Wylsacom, noted the difficulty in confirming if the new iPad features two front-facing cameras. Another YouTuber, Romancev768, showed a second sensor at the top of the iPad in portrait mode, but its functionality remains unclear.

Benchmark performance comparison

The videos reveal that the iPads lack the “iPad Pro” text on the back, showing only the antenna line, camera system, and Apple logo. Wylsacom conducted Geekbench 6 tests comparing the M5 iPad Pro and the M4 iPad Pro. The M5 achieved a single-core score of 4,133 and a multi-core score of 15,437, while the M4 scored 3,718 for single-core and 13,324 for multi-core. For GPU tests, the M5 scored 74,568, surpassing the M4’s score of 55,702.

Apple has not responded to requests for comment. If the M5 iPad Pro is indeed launching soon, more information about the device may be available shortly.
