Battlefield 6’s first season will begin on October 28, EA and Battlefield Studios have announced. The developer revealed new maps and guns coming to the game as part of this season.
Season 1 Phases Overview
Season 1 will consist of three phases: Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive. Each phase will introduce a new map and additional items, including weapons.
Rogue Ops Details
The first phase, Rogue Ops, starts on October 28. It will feature the Blackwell Fields map, a new mode called Strikepoint, and a new vehicle named Traverser Mark 2. Players can also expect new weapons, including the SOR-300SC carbine, GGH-22 sidearm, Mini Scout sniper rifle, and attachments like Rail Cover and LPVO.
California Resistance Features
On November 18, the California Resistance phase will introduce the Eastwood map and a limited-time mode called Sabotage. This phase will also add a new feature called Battle Pickups, along with the DB-12 shotgun and M357 Trait sidearm, plus the Troy Angled attachment.
Winter Offensive Highlights
Winter Offensive will commence on December 9, highlighting the Ice Lock Empire State map, a frozen version of Empire State. This update will include the Ice Lock limited-time event and the Ice Climbing Axe melee weapon.
All content in Season 1 is free as part of Battlefield 6’s live-service seasonal approach. The game launches on October 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA has also released a new live-action trailer that humorously addresses the competition with Call of Duty.
