Battlefield Studios has revealed the roadmap for content coming to Battlefield 6 in Season 1. The first major free update launches on October 28, 2025, following the game’s release on October 10, 2025.
Rogue Ops phase details
The first phase, Rogue Ops, introduces a new map called Blackwell Fields, three new weapons, and a new 4v4 mode named Strikepoint. This phase will deliver a significant amount of new content.
Blackwell Fields map features
Blackwell Fields supports all combat sizes and includes land and air vehicles. The map is set at an American air base in the California badlands, where Pax Armata double agents attack NATO targets.
Strikepoint mode overview
Strikepoint is a tactical mode designed for 4v4 combat. Squads compete across multiple rounds to capture a key objective, with only one life available each round.
New vehicles and weapons
The new Armored Personnel Carrier, APC Traverser Mark 2, seats four and serves as an infantry support vehicle. The update also includes the SOR-300C carbine rifle, Mini Fix sniper rifle, and GGH-22 sidearm.
California Resistance phase details
The second phase, California Resistance, launches on November 18, 2025. It features a new SoCal map named Eastwood, two new weapons, and an 8v8 mode called Sabotage.
Eastwood map features
Eastwood supports all combat sizes, including land vehicles and helicopters. The map is set in a suburb connected to a golf course, where Pax Armata sleeper agents are activated.
Sabotage mode overview
In Sabotage, teams aim to destroy as many sites as possible within the round time. Each team alternates between offense and defense, with the team detonating the most sites declared the winner.
Additional features
Battlefield 6 will reintroduce Battle Pickups, which are high-tech, limited-availability weapons found throughout the map. The update also includes the DB-12 shotgun and M327 Trait sidearm.
Winter Offensive phase details
The final phase, Winter Offensive, is set to launch on December 9, 2025. This phase includes a limited-time map update for Empire State and a themed event called Ice Lock.
Empire State map update
The Ice Lock update introduces environmental threats, with temperatures dropping below freezing in Brooklyn. Players will need to adapt to the new conditions.
Ice Lock event features
The Ice Lock event incorporates a gameplay modifier called Freeze, active in specific experiences. Players will also receive a new melee tool, the Ice Climbing Axe.
