A fatal accident involving a truck and five other vehicles occurred in Hanzinelle, Wallonia, shortly after 1 PM. One woman lost her life, and her husband is in critical condition.
Details of the Accident
The incident took place on Route de Rouillon. Three cars were stopped at a traffic light due to road work. The truck driver failed to stop for an unknown reason, colliding with the waiting vehicles. The truck then swerved and hit another car and truck coming from the opposite direction.
The fire department reported that the husband of the deceased woman is in critical condition. He was transported by helicopter to Charleroi. Seven additional individuals suffered injuries during the incident.
Investigation Status
The Namur public prosecutor’s office has dispatched an expert to the scene. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. By approximately 4 PM, traffic in the area remained disrupted.
