Event Details
The Halo World Championship will take place in Seattle. It will feature a Community Stage with multiple panels, including discussions with voice actors Steve Downes and Jen Taylor. Further details about Halo Studios’ next projects will be shared on the Main Stage, along with an additional “deep dive” panel on the Community Stage.
Last year, 343 Industries announced its rebranding as Halo Studios. The studio is currently developing multiple new games for the Halo franchise. It previously released a video titled A New Dawn, showcasing Project Foundry, which explores the use of Unreal Engine 5 for future Halo games.
Transition to Unreal Engine 5
Halo Studios has transitioned from using its own Slipspace engine to Unreal Engine 5. This change is expected to create a significant shift in presentation and development, according to Digital Foundry. Pierre Hintze, the head of Halo Studios, stated, “It’s fair to say that our intent is that the majority of what we showcased in Foundry is expected to be in projects which we are building, or future projects.”
The latest blog post on Halo Waypoint does not provide specific details about the new projects. However, it emphasizes that Halo fans should not miss the upcoming announcements. The blog mentions that the studio will continue the conversation from last year’s Halo World Championship and the “A New Dawn” video.
