Meta Ray-Ban Display is now being sold, exclusively in select physical US stores. Announced at Connect 2025 on October 1, 2025, these smart glasses are available at Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban stores, as well as the Meta Lab.
Demo Encouragement and Availability
Meta highly encourages booking a demo before purchasing the glasses. However, many locations have demos booked out until late October, with some extending to November or December. A demo is not strictly necessary to purchase the Meta Ray-Ban Display, but it is recommended to determine the best fit for the Meta Neural Band sizes.
Store managers are limiting initial stock to customers with booked appointments. Meta plans to add more stores to expand demo availability, stating, “We’re adding more stores to meet the demand, with new availability opening every day.”
Product Features and Specifications
The Meta Ray-Ban Display comes in glossy Black and matte Sand colors, with Standard and Large sizes. All options feature Transitions lenses that adjust to light, suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The glasses support prescriptions ranging from -4 to +4.
Priced at $800, the glasses include a small fixed HUD in the right lens, with an interface navigated by finger gestures detected by the Meta Neural Band. This band uses surface electromyography (sEMG) to sense wrist muscle activation, includes haptic feedback, has an IPX7 water resistance rating, and offers around 18 hours of battery life.
The monocular HUD has a field of view of approximately 20 degrees, a brightness of up to 5000 nits, and a resolution of 600×600, providing 42 pixels per degree. The display features only 2% light leakage, ensuring privacy for the user.
