Minecraft’s next update, titled Mounts of Mayhem, will be released in Holiday 2025. It will introduce a new weapon, a new mount, and new enemy configurations.
The new weapon is the spear, which is suited for both hand-to-hand and mounted combat. Mojang states that the damage scales with your speed.
The nautilus is the new underwater mount, which can be tamed using pufferfish. This mount will allow for faster travel and will preserve your existing air supply.
Players can also find nautilus armor in chests, available in copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite variants.
New mobs include the zombie nautilus, a neutral mob, and drowned mobs that will ride them, armed with tridents. On land, players can find zombie horses ridden by spear-wielding zombies.
Mojang has not announced a specific date for Mounts of Mayhem but confirms it will arrive this holiday season.
Additional announcements from Minecraft Live include the Copper Age update next week, the educational Friendly Fishing add-on, and an upcoming Dragon Ball Z collaboration.
