Microsoft has increased the price of the Xbox Series X and S in the US this month, leading to speculation that the ROG Xbox Ally would also see a price increase ahead of its launch.
A rumor from the Xbox Era podcast, confirmed by Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming, indicates that Microsoft and ASUS intended to “further subsidise” the price of the ROG Xbox Ally, but this plan did not materialize.
The initial European prices leaked in June remain unchanged at €599.99 and €899.99. Henderson noted that industry insiders were aware of this situation at the time.
“Everything here should be taken with a pinch of salt as always, but Microsoft wanted to make these devices as cheap as possible.”

Despite the challenges in the current market, the ROG Xbox Ally is set to launch on October 16th, and expectations are high regarding its value.
