Creators Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel, along with producer Aron Fromm, have launched Zam Studios, an independent animation studio based in Los Angeles, on October 4, 2025.

Focus of Zam Studios

Zam Studios will concentrate on high-quality animation, VFX, and production services. According to Cusack, Hadel, and Fromm, the studio aims to provide client services for television, feature films, and commercials while also creating original content.

In a joint statement, they emphasized, “Zam will focus on what matters most in animation – high-quality work made by people who understand the process, are obsessed with craft and have a knack for producing cartoons that recapture the magic of years past.”

Current Projects and Capabilities

Zam Studios is responsible for all specialty and mixed media animation, live action, compositing, and VFX for the third season of a series premiering on October 5 on Adult Swim and October 6 on HBO Max. This quarter-hour series follows employees of a small company dedicated to bringing happiness to a bizarre yet colorful world.

The new season features a blend of Claymation, high-end 2D animation, CG animation, stop motion, and live action elements. Additional credits for Zam Studios include shorts, documentaries, and bumpers for various projects.
