Sony is enhancing certain headphones to work better with Samsung Galaxy phones, allowing for audio sharing and improved support for AI assistants. Users with Bluetooth LE Audio can enjoy these upgrades on select models.
Enhanced Features for Specific Headphones
Sony has updated the WF-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM6 headphones to support Audio Sharing via Fast Pair. This feature lets you connect two headphones to a Galaxy phone simultaneously, making it easy for friends to listen to the same audio.
Other headphones like the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro also support this feature, allowing mixed audio playback between different headphone brands.
Additional Upgrades and Capabilities
Users can create a private audio broadcast through a QR code or Google Fast Pair. After a firmware update, both Sony models will support head tracking via Bluetooth LE Audio, but they need to be re-paired with Galaxy devices to access this feature.
The Find Hub app on Samsung devices can help locate misplaced WF-1000XM5 earbuds. Both headphone models now also include Google’s Gemini Live, an AI assistant that allows for continuous conversation and topic changes.
General Availability and Usability
These updates are designed to enhance the overall user experience of pairing Sony headphones with Samsung devices, making them more versatile and user-friendly.
The enhancements reflect Sony’s commitment to improving headphone functionality and user interaction with technology.
