In the U.S., content related to the WNBA will be highlighted. Curated spaces have previously launched in India and Japan, focusing on regional interests like cricket and comics.
A personal home with the You tab
A new You tab will centralize subscriptions, rewards, recommendations, and updates. It will provide personalized suggestions for movies, shows, podcasts, and audiobooks.
Gamers will have a new profile in this tab to track stats and achievements, which can be customized with a Gen AI avatar.
A new Games tab and AI ‘sidekick’
The Games tab will centralize stats, achievements, and community interactions. Play Games Leagues will allow users to challenge friends for Play Points rewards, starting with Subway Surfers from October 10 to October 23.
The AI-enabled Play Games Sidekick will offer real-time gaming assistance. Users can ask for help without leaving the game, utilizing Gemini Live for quick responses.
The Sidekick will also organize relevant gaming information. Initial support will be available in games from EA and Netmarble.
Enhanced Game Detail Pages will showcase ongoing events and updates. Gamers will soon be able to ask questions and share answers on these pages.
The Google Play Games on PC, featuring over 200,000 titles, is exiting beta as of today.
