According to Variety, the guild strikes had something to do with the film’s initial date of Christmas 2024. Peele suggested he has a clear vision for his next movie but is still working on the project and has yet to roll cameras.
Beyond the film, Peele produced the football-themed horror movie “Him.” Recently, he collaborated with Hideo Kojima on a secretive horror project titled “OD.”
The game’s first teaser features a terrifying scene from a first-person perspective. It stars Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier, and Hunter Schafer, raising curiosity about the cast for Peele’s next film.
The teaser shows a playable sequence where the protagonist receives a red card with instructions through a door, then lights candles at a shrine, creating screams and loud knocks as they proceed. A close-up of Lillis reveals a giant, dark figure approaching her.
It is unclear how much of Peele’s influence is in the teaser, as it does not feature his name. Kojima mentioned in a livestream, “there’s a different kind of fear Jordan will do; mine is the fear of the knock. I’m really afraid of the knock sound!”
The collaboration between Kojima and Peele has excited many. Some commenters compared it to the acclaimed “Elden Ring,” which is being adapted into a movie, while Peele was once rumored to direct a film adaptation of “Death Stranding.”
Another comparison is to “P.T.,” a game Kojima co-produced with Guillermo del Toro, which was a playable teaser for a new installment in the “Silent Hill” franchise. The game was removed from the PlayStation Store after its cancellation.
Commenters on the “OD” trailer joked that the title translates to “Only Demo.”
