NickTew’s build utilizes a gun with the Torgue Licensed Sticky Magazine and the Taser alt-fire mode to deal massive damage. This combination allows players to fire sticky projectiles that explode for significant damage upon reloading or switching modes.
The method involves loading an enemy with gyrojets from an SMG, then switching to the underbarrel taser before reloading, resulting in amplified damage. NickTew noted that this build works on every character and does not require the knife.
“We’ve seen the discourse about builds that use unintended interactions and/or the knife. We’re not going to act on those immediately, instead, we’re looking at our first round of buffs.”
— Graeme Timmins, Borderlands 4 Creative Director
Gearbox has acknowledged performance issues on console versions, with a focus on improving PC performance as a top priority. A Field of View (FOV) slider is also planned for console versions.
