Bandai Namco has updated the official website of its upcoming action RPG, Code Vein II, with official character renders, screenshots, and profiles.
The sequel introduces Luna Rapacis, a force that corrupts Revenants into Horrors. Players control a Revenant Hunter tasked with rewriting fate. Guided by Lou, a girl who can cross time, they must travel between the present and the past. New characters Lavinia and Josée will play pivotal roles.
Code Vein II builds upon its predecessor’s signature partner-based combat and Blood Code systems while introducing new mechanics. Two weapon types, Rune Blades and Dual Swords, join the returning one-handed swords, bayonets, halberds, and great hammers. The new Jail system enhances blood-draining attacks with expanded abilities.
Companions are sealed within the protagonist as a heart-shaped core. They can either be summoned to fight alongside you or channeled directly through the new Assimilation system, amplifying the Hunter’s strength.
Players can summon a motorcycle, a spell-based vehicle designed for traversing highways and open roads. Partners ride alongside you, too.
Code Vein II will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on January 30, 2026.
