On December 24, 2020, the Belgian police were alerted by Dutch colleagues about a trucker who discovered 12,000 liters of drug waste in his vehicle after picking it up in Temse and Beveren.
Discovery of Cocaine
At the same time, the Belgian police received a report from Colombia about 357 kilos of cocaine found among iron oxide destined for a contractor in Beveren. This was linked to the same address from which the drug waste originated.
Network Involvement
The investigation progressed significantly in March 2021 after the Sky ECC messaging service was compromised. Sani “Shade” A.M., a key figure in the Skaljari clan, was identified as leading the network.
